| New Town is centered in the heart of Lake Sakakawea. Fishing opportunities are endless with the upper reaches of Lake Sakakawea extending to White Earth Bay, an early May hot spot, all the way down to the southern mid-section of the main lake. White Earth is on the scenic Lewis and Clark trail. White Earth valley was a hunting stop over for the expedition. If your looking for fantastic early season walleyes stop in and ask Greg about the fishing. Three ramps providing access close to New Town area include, 4 Bears, Sanish and Reunion Bay. To the south east is Van Hook and Parshall Bay. A place everyone who fishes needs to experience at least once in their lifetime. Unbelievable Walleye fishing occurs in this huge section of lake. Schools of walleyes extend for miles and are easy pickings in the 6-12 depths they forage in for much of June and July. |
