When it comes to outdoor communications Minot’s Greg Schoneck is in sync with both the old and the new. As host of ND Live Wet & Wild syncing with the old is done through live radio. With over 160 live segments spanning 20 weeks and covering 6 states and 2 Canadian provinces, Schoneck’s unique and creative, one of a kind show has stirred quite a following. Four years running at America’s largest daytime signal (KFYR) and in the 3rd year covering all of North West ND with KEYZ Country (Williston), ND Live has passed the test of public review with flying colors. Sponsors ranging from CVB’s to County and State Tourism have also given ND Live the ultimate vote of approval.
Syncing the old with the new is Schoneck’s second passion. Moving information and listenership from live radio to internet has proven a successful strategy and follows Schoneck’s vision to become ND’s outdoor ambassador. Whether it’s live radio transferred to MP3’s, up to the minute fishing stories, or teaching fishermen how to put more fish in the live well with the “Fishing Sakakawea” DVD’s , Schoneck has all the bases covered.
This unique approach of combining creative real life writing enhanced by a photographic journal has caught the attention of both the Bismarck Tribune and the Williston Herald who feature Schoneck each week. Numerous articles by both paper’s Outdoor Journalists have been written about Schoneck’s fishing adventures, positioning him as the regional expert when it comes to fishing. |
